Our friends at Indventech recently had a redesign of their website. As with all of our clients we will do a complete redesign of your website at the end of two years. This keeps you fresh, relevant, and allows you take advantage of the latest web technologies available. This means that customers can find you on the web and can take advantage of what you have to offer. We are excited about the final look of the website redesign. What does Indventech do? As their tagline says, they “move air”. You will see some of the largest fans and blowers on the planet. Although we don’t appear in their product list we still consider ourselves one of their biggest fans!

Not only do we enjoy our work and getting to know our clients but we enjoy our friendships as a graphic design team as well. We occasionally get together outside of the office to enjoy some time together. Recently we tried our hand at bowling. We had lots of laughs and very few strikes. We did manage to get Joe’s strike on video and thought we would share it with you along with a few other clips. I’m glad we recorded it when we did because I don’t think he did it again the rest of the game.

Stop Motion Animation – Holiday Card Video

For the fifth season in a row, West End Marketing has partnered with Drum Creative to design and produce the annual holiday message for The Blood Connection. What began as a printed card delivered via regular mail, has evolved into a stop motion animated holiday video delivered via email, the website, Facebook and Twitter. This year, we created the video message using stop motion animation which requires that each frame be artistically rendered and captured. Take a look at the behind the scenes production:

We start with Ben (the artist) creating the miniature water color painting of the mountain snow scene, the centerpiece of the message.

Now the fun begins, here Keith and Ben create the warm interior setting, complete with twinkling lights on the tree and a fire in the fireplace.

and last but not least, through the magic of Joe’s editing, behold the final product…ENJOY!

We love this time of year when we get a chance to create Christmas cards for our clients.

Sometimes a request may come in to create a holiday-themed video or animation. Check out this concept stop motion animation holiday card we made using an iPhone 4 to present to our client. The photo above shows how Ben Moffett created a stand for the iPhone to keep it in place, and then he began to paint a 1.5″ x 1.5″ painting, that was later added to a room scene. Come back in the next couple of weeks to see the final product, and who we did it for.

We are so excited to be working with Let There Be Mom. We had the privilege of launching their new website, so please be sure to go by and check it out at www.lettherebemom.org.

It’s also that time of year again where you and your family or co-workers can go to many local restaurants in the Greenville area and “Dine Out For Mom” on Thursday October 20th. We all have to eat, so make sure you tell everyone to go to the website to check all of the locations and listings.

Prasso Ministries Website Launch

It truly is exciting for us as a group, when we get to work with an organization that is changing lives through God’s word. Prasso Ministries is a 12 week Bible study that teaches men and women to find hope and victory by repeatedly, continually and habitually practicing God’s Word each day. The program includes a teaching time and homework lessons which give a “toolbox full of tools” to carry throughout the day and throughout life. You can attend a Prasso class here in Greenville, SC, or you can order the materials online and set up a class at your church, or you take the class individually.

iPhone App development and design through Drum Creative

During the Spring of 2011, Drum Creative had the privilege to work with Canal Insurance to design and develop a 1.0 Version of an iPhone App and Android App. Drum partnered with an application software developer to help with the navigation programming, and programming features in the Apps. We began the process by meeting with Canal’s claims management team and the programmers to discuss the functionality and navigation of the the Apps. Together, we needed to answer the following core questions to create the infrastructure of the App:
1) What will the user see on the home page when they launch the App?
2) How will the user navigate through the App once they leave the home page?
3) What critical functions do we want on each page?
Once we answered these questions, we began the process of designing the App and building the navigation for each page based on the discovery phase. We provided an iPhone screen storyboard of each page that was viewed within the app, and illustrated each interactive step the user would see and be required to perform.

After we received approval from Canal, we began to implement the design into the programming. When programming was completed, we ran a beta test of the App with Canal in a meeting room for them to approve the launch of the App. Once the App was approved, we walked Canal through the description process, created the various display icons that were needed for the app store, and administered all of the necessary submissions required for each marketplace. The uploading process was almost immediate on the Android market, but it took a few days to go through Apple’s approval process.

Performance QSA

It’s always exciting when we take on a new client, and it’s even more exciting when we’re able to work with a group that is passionate about what they do. Performance QSA’s goal is to help their clients “Train Like an Athlete,” and they do just that. Our job was to help them fine tune their branding from the inside to the outside. We started by redesigning their website, and helped them segment their training in to three distinct categories, Personal Training, Women’s Bootcamp, and Athletic Training. To help differentiate between categories, we visually presented those segments through color separation, and imagery. We provided QSA a content managed solution that would allow them full control of their website. No more call the web guy and waiting 2 weeks for the change to be made.
